Relationships are the key to making almost anything happen. They are the foundation to the quality of our lives to the the results we get.
Giving is the universal law that says what you put out, you will get back -- but don't expect it to always come back from the original source. But do give freely and with love. Here is a simple analogy that helps to put it in persepective... Imagine being in a sleeping bag in a log cabin and it's snowing outside. the air around yo uis really cold, and you can see your breath as you peer out. You realize it is so cold because there is no fire in the wood stove. You look around and notice there is no firewood in the cabin. It is snowing outside, and it is so cold in the cabin you can't will yourself to get up out of your sleeping bag. You try to make a deal with the stove - "Warm me up, and then I will gladly go outside and get some wood." Sound crazy? We do this frequently in our relationships: "Spend more time with me (stove, warm me up), and I will show more love to you (I'll get some wood)." The other person is thinking, "Become more loving to me, and I will spend more time with you." : ) Relationships need to be cultivated like a garden. Don't neglect the people you care about. Spend your time on what is most important -- building relationships should be at the top of your list. Namaste. XOXOXO Shelly |
