We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world. - Buddha Just as you plant a seed in the soil, it must surely produce a plant of like proportion to the seed that was planted. If you were planting orange seeds, you certainly couldn't expect to produce a big beautiful oak tree. If you plant orange seeds, you will get an orange tree. We all know this simple universal principle. Even a young child understands this. So why would it be any different with our thoughts? By developing an understanding of this simple principle - by becoming conscious of the consistent thoughts we choose to think - we can then go to work on restructuring and implementing the power of thoughts. More specifically, you can go to work on your thoughts to begin to create your life based on your newly found knowledge and begin producing desired results. All the athletes that have qualified to be in the Olympics have at one point in their lives endured a limited belief but pressed through it to achieve the ability to compete in the Olympics. There is nothing either good or bad except that thinking makes it so. - Shakespeare Our beliefs or mindsets limit or expand our world. Beliefs have power over us because we treat them as though they're true. Beliefs influence what you attempt or choose not to attempt in life. They determine what you pay attention to, how you react to difficult situations, and ultimately your attitude. Success and failure begin and end in what the mind believes is possible. (excerpt from This is Your Year Book pg 46) Thanks for visiting, Shelly Arisitizabal Facebook & Twitter Sometimes it takes planning to get to the beach. Some people live by the ocean and never take time to visit the sand and see the magnificent view. Naples has so many beautiful beaches and I routinely add to my exercise plan a nice visit to the beach. My hope is that this is #YourYear ! Shelly Aristizabal Find me on Facebook & Twitter When you stop and really look at the dandelion’s little yellow flower, you will discover that it is really quite beautiful. With it's many petals and it's happy yellow color it is really very cheery. And then the thought struck me. There are many things that come into our lives that at first we consider a nuisance. But if we really stop to think about them, often they can become a thing of beauty--teaching lessons and helping us to grow and mature in our lives. #YOURYEAR |
