Confident Attitude                                                       DAY 29 CONFIDENCE

You can spot them easily in any group. They have that special "something" that sets them apart. What is it? A sense of direction--an assurance that they know where they're going. An awareness of their own abilities. Sincerity. An air of past successes. They have instinct to make eye contact and use body language. In a word, what they have is confidence...

Confidence is taking your current situation--whatever obstacles you are facing, whatever limitaiton that may slow you down, whatever chronic condition you may live with, whatever has stolen your dreams, whatever factors in life that tend to push you under--admitting you don't like it, and never saying, "I can't cope."

Confidence means having the ability to stand up to any test. You were born for greatness. Confidence is knowing that I will do something great with my life. Confidence is the sense that you can do somehting beyond the ordinary. You have a seed of greatness inside of you--unique to you. Dream big dreams and think big thoughts.

What makes you feel confident?

The Natural Law of Momentum                                 DAY 28 MOMENTUM

12/27/2016

"Enthusiasm is the energy and force that builds literal momentum of the human soul and mind." ~ Bryan H. McGill

Newton's Law -- The scientific formula for momentum:

M x V = P

Mass (M) x Velocity (V) = Momentum (P)

Let's first define momentum. Momentum is impetus, force, thrust; it is the energy source that drives something else. It is like an avalanche that builds in magnitude, speed, and potential as it gushes down the slope.

How many people even realize that momentum is a natural law, a universal principle, that exists and operates in our lives whether we believe it or not?

The incredible thinkg about momentum is that once you understand it and how it applies to your life and personal growth, your chances of success go way up. If you can align your choices, thoughts, and actions with the universal principle -- the natural law of momentum--your success rate will go through the roof!

As with all natural laws, though, you can either operate in ways where they serve you--or break you. Remember, principles are not biased; they do not break--we can only break ourselves against them.

Think about this in sports -  which team usually wins the game? The best team or the team that has the momentum?
Go for it!

Live Life to the Fullest                                                DAY 27 CARPE DIEM

12/26/2016

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down probably will. You'll have your heart broken, and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by.....

So, take too many pictures, laugh to much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no tme outs, and no second chances. You just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off; speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love, and most of all, live in the moment, because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

Merry Christmas!!

Magic Duo                                                               DAY 26 Empathy

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

       Q. What do world hunger and bad customer service have in common?

        A. The secret to solving them both is empathy and innovation.

Empathy and innovation seem like an unlikely pairing, but together, they're the secret to solving just about everything.

Here's why. You have to care about a problem before you're motivated to solve it. Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone because his wife was deaf and he wanted to help those who couldn't hear. Empathy for his wife ingnited his innovation.

Empathy is about putting your own persepective on pause so that you can experience how the world looks throgh the eyes of another. With this skill, we then express our values to align with their neeeds, while innovation is a function of new ideas, risk taking and  problem soving to serve that need.

So how do you kick start the empathy/innovation cycle? Simple: take a walk in another's shoes.

We tend to think of empathy as something that softens us. But that's not true. Empathy empowers us. Because when you see how the world looks to someone else, you don't diminish your own persepective, you expand it.

You can't be innovative if the only perspective you see is your own. Empathy & innovation--the magic duo that can solve anything!!

Decision = Destiny                                                                DAY 25 DECISIONS

12/20/2016

Comments

Research shows that people who make decisions quickly, even when lacking information, tend to be more satisfied with their decisions than people who research and carefully weigh their options. Some of this difference is simply in the lower level of stress the decision created, but much of it comes from the very way our brains work.

The conscious mind can only hold between five and nine distinct thoughts at any given time. That means that very complex problem with more than (on average) seven factors is going to overflow the conscious mind's ability to function effectively, leading to poor choices.

Our subconscious mind, however, is much better at juggling and working through complex problems. People who "go with their gut" are actually trusting the work their subconscious mind has already done, rather than second-guessing it and relying on their conscious mind's much more limited ability to deal with complex situations.

Simply knowing that every decision is a choice, and taking the responsibility for our choices--accepting the consequence, whether a benefit or a price -- is the freedom and liberty all humans desire.

Remember, your subconscious mind's "job" is to solve problems for you. When faced with a decision, ask yourself, "How can I make this happen?" Your subconscious mind will go to work to find the way to make it happen!

Circle of Influence                                                        DAY 24 NETWORKING

12/18/2016

Five years from now your life will be exactly the same except for two things: 1) the books you have read, and 2) the people you have met. Networking is your key to making really interesting, helpful, and powerful contacts. In an economy dominated by ideas an innovation, networking creates the channels through which ideas are created. A large network, carefully cultivated, ties one into not just a body of people but a body of relationships, and those relationships are ore than just the sum of their parts. The interactions those relationships make possible give rise to innovation and creativity--and provide the support to nurture new ideas until they can be realized.

Develop a plan and a list of people you want to add to your network. Then become an active participant and attend seminars and events where you will have the opportunity to meet those people.

When you do get into a conversation, it is wise to keep focused on the other person rather than on yourself. Become a good listener and always remember to smile.

A secret to good networking is do what you love to do or would love to learn. You will easily connect with like-minded people. So go network!

Be willing to pay the price of giving up leisure time to spend time reading, listening and participating in activities that will help you to grow and learn.

Spend just one hour a day five days a week reading, and in five years you could become one of the most knowledgeable people in any area. It requires discipline. Begin now. Set a time and place for regular reading.

Find a time and place that works best for you--and then read consistently. Be a good steward of your time by consciously planning your educational reading time. Remember, "If you don't have a plan, then you plan to fail." Leverage your time. Use your car as a moving university by listening while you drive. Download teaching material to listen to as you exercise.

Experiential learning is required to accomplish paradigm shifts or revelations in our belief systems. This means that you must participate in activities in which you have experiences that change your viewpoints. You have a choice to wait for life to hand you the experience you need to enhance your career, relationships, health, and spirituality... or to be proactive in the process.

Life (learning by trial & error) is usually the most expensive teacher in terms of time, money and relationships. Participating in events, workshops, and training sessions is the fastest, cheapest, and most enjoyable way to accerlaerate your growth.

Invest in yourself as your own company, You, Inc.---you life is your own business---make the most of it!

What would your life be like if it was exactly how you wanted it to be today? If your life were extraordinary on your terms, what would you do? What would it look like? Describe the essence of your life. What is the ultimate life that you are after?

Everything that happens in your life -- what you're thrilled with and what you're challenged by -- began with a decision. Your life is the outcome of the decisions you've made and the actions you've taken as a result of those decisions.  Different decisions produce different results.

If you want to control the direction of your life, you must consistently make good decisions. It's not what you do once in a while that has an impact on the direction of your life -- it's what you do consistently. Make decisions today about how you are going to live in the years to come. For your decisions to really make a difference in your life, it's imperative to decide what results you are committed to -- and crititcal to decide what kind of person you're committed to becoming. Get clear about what you want to be, do, and have, and what your life will be like after you accomplish this. With that clarity, you'll find it becomes easier to make the kinds of decisions that will move you in the direction you desire.

Decide today if you'll accept life as it is or if you'll live your life on your own terms, at the edge and at the highest level!

Focus on Your Dreams                                                                DAY 21 FOCUS

12/11/2016

Picture
Focus is the ability to direct your attention, efforts, or activity at a desired dierction or object wihtout being distracted. To maintin concentraion while we focus on anything takes extraordinary effort in the busy world in which we live. Those who are willing to initiate such attention and maintain it will have the amazing attribute of leverate and produe extraordinary results. Focus is a quality that makes or breaks our ability to achieve greatness.

Focus leverages power, just as a magnifying glass focuses the power of the sun to create heat. The same amount of energy is there with or without the glass. Energy directed through the glass can produce fire.

Life is full of distractions. Very few individuals are willing or able to really focus.  Most people would be unable to give you an answer if you asked them to describe their purpose in life. Manuy would have a tough time listing  three things they will absolutely accomplish in a day. Their lives are unfocused. Most just plan to work hard and handle what comes up--whatever that is.

One reason we don't learn to focus is the assumption that it requires great amounts of effort and will be difficult in some way. When in reality, it takes average talents, small amounts of time, or minimal resources to make wise decisions, think clearly, and have fun while being focued and relaxed.

How would you rate your ability to focus?

The Reality of Living the Life of Your Dreams                                           DAY 19

12/7/2016

Why is it so hard to change our reality? If you are like me, you have probably heard dozens or even hundreds of lectures on changing your life. They tell you to think positive, feel the vision and take inspired action, but nothing seems to change. You wonder if this even works or if it only works for some people and not for you.

People ask me all the time “how do I create love, more money, a better body…?” We  are always creating. You cannot stop creating. Through your whole life your thinking mind is working, it is spinning your outer reality, affecting your mood, your reactions to people and circumstances and sometimes dragging you down.

The thinking mind plays out your life events in an epic drama and the theme that is running is based on the quality of your thoughts. You cannot change your life unless you take responsibility for what you created so far. You are the author, the director and the actor in your own reality play.

Taking responsibility doesn’t mean that you beat yourself up, make yourself wrong and blame yourself for not being a good enough thinker. When you accept that you are creating your reality (consciously and unconsciously), you reclaim your power. Your creation may not always be perfect, but it is yours AND this realization reminds you that you have the choice to create something new.

The results in your life are not permanent. When you are not in conscious control of your mind, this system works on autopilot and creates for you. The creative force weaving your life is still you; you just aren’t doing the driving.

When you become conscious that you want a new result, you have to take back the reins of your mind and hold your will to a higher vision. This takes a lot of courage and mental effort because all of your senses and experiences of the past are telling you the opposite.

When what you don’t want shows up, your job is to consciously stop letting the autopilot reaction kick-in where emotions are triggered and you feel discouraged. You can control your thoughts, which leads to your emotions and your words, which will guide your actions, then create your habits that lead to your character and determine your destiny.

Each time you are faced with a result you have a choice. That feeling or reaction to the result is like a key that can either lock you in to the past or set you free to create something fresh. Ask yourself, “What is this showing me about my mind?” to remind yourself that you are in control, not external circumstances.

To live in possibility means to know there is always another door, another opportunity and that there is a powerful force within you that wants you to have what you want even more than you. That force has always been at your side and waiting for you to claim its power to create something extraordinary and live bigger. That force is the dreams God has placed in your heart. Listen to your heart...

Keep seeing every result as an open door. It is leading you to the next step on your journey. Don’t ignore it or run from it. Embrace it as your freedom is on the other side.

Live your dream....

XOXO
