I loved Thanksgiving Day. Just me and my fabulous kiddos. We watched the Macy's Parade, listened to Christmas music, watched football, cooked together, set a beautiful table, toasted with sparkling grape juice (& champagne for me). We said a wonderful prayer together that included sharing what we are most thankful for. We laughed, reviewed this past year, planned for the future, and most importantly simply enjoyed each other's company. I love my kids, they love me and they love each other. I am so thankful for the mutual love and respect. I love our traditions, new and old. I'm thankful that someone once shared this thought with me: Treat your family like guests and your guests like family!
Happy Thanksgiving! A wonderful day to "officially" be thankful! Today I am most thankful for a day to spend with my wonderful children. Nicolas home for the weekend from Florida State University, brought home his new puppy! Oh my - he and his roommates have taken over the care of a pitbull puppy! Spencer is gearing up for the big state semi-final football game Friday night! He is the key defensive end, leading in sacks and at 6'1" 1851lbs -watch out!!! Alexander has been busy working all week with a team for a big Lego Robot competition coming up soon. And Emma continues her gymnastic training looking forward to many competitions coming up. I love spending time with my kids and I love that they love spending time with their Mom. We all chipped in and cooked a complete traditional turkey dinner - together! I'm proud to say, probably the best EVER!!! Yes, thankful for my fabulous children and the LOVE we share!!! XOXO
Home sweet home. Home is where the heart is. I am grateful for my beautiful home. It is a place of love, joy, children's laughter, wonderful memories and even a place to endure some sadness and disappointment. It is a place that brings comfort, security, nourishment, shelter, and protection. I am grateful to live in such a wonderful home in paradise, Naples, FL. I'm thankful that my children have this home to house all of their childhood memories. I am grateful that my heart has made this home sweet home.
November is synonymous with Thanksgiving in America, and it’s common during this month to hear talk of gratitude and why it’s so important. Adopting a gratitude practice isn’t just something that sounds nice at Thanksgiving -- it’s a lifestyle and mindset choice that will drastically change your life and your business.
Today I am thankful for the sunshine that warms my body and lights up the day. I am thankful for the moon that shines mysteriously above the earth and gives me pause to contemplate the day that has passed. The beautiful twinkle stars that helps to remind me that I am just a simple speck in this vast universe but every star has a purpose to add beauty and value to this wonderful life! I am thankful for the pets in our life! Our little Maltese, Sofie, came into our family about 5 years ago. About 4 years after our beloved Golden Retriever, Jenni, had died. This was a big family decision- I had endured years of 4 kids begging for a puppy - so I agreed to get a small version of a dog! Her cuteness is undeniable!! The boys love her, though Emma is the main care-giver. So when Emma called from friends house about the stray cat that desperately needed a home - I reluctantly agreed to adopt Lucky - AKA Armando, the lucky cat! We had been in negotiants regarding replacing our outside cat, Riley, who has been missing for many months.
The unconditional love and non-judgmental attitude from our pets is an instant heart-warming experience that brings comfort and joy to each one of us. Pets are an opportunity to teach kids the responsibility of caring for another life - feeding, health, its bed, exercise, attention, and so much more. We've had fish, hermit crabs, frogs (have said no the frequent request of snakes & lizards) hamsters and even a bunny. I'm most thankful for all the love being shared! November 14 is my birthday. I will admit that I am not a big fan of celebrating my birthday. I've always kept "under-wraps" my age... The funny thing is my actual age really doesn't bother me, I think it's more fun to have people try to guess my age, and I'm happy to say, 100% of the time, the guess is many years younger than I actually am! LOL I'm so thankful that I feel young, I look young, I "act" young and I am young! The number "age" is only a way to measure the number of years we have experienced, our actual age is based on our attitude and happiness level! So here's to another year - and may this one be the best one EVER!!! XOXO
I am grateful for the abundance of everything around us!!! Everything we desire is at our fingertips and for the taking....I am thankful for the opportunity to easily shop for the things I need and want. I am thankful that I have been blessed with a mind and passion for business - I enjoy making $ and I enjoy shopping!!! LOVE shoes & bags : )
So I woke up this morning!!! I am thankful for this beautiful new day!!! Just thinking that about a week ago I was visiting Geneva, Switzerland on business. The Swiss Alps in the distance, with their beautiful snow caps, reminded me of my favorite movie - The Sound of Music! We rode through the Alps on the high speed train to Milan, Italy and, once again, I was mesmerized by the beauty all around us! Then I was able to snap this photo from my window seat on the plane taking off from Zurich on my way home. Breathtaking Beauty!!!
I am thankful for FSU. The awesome education offered, the faculty, staff, & people who serve the students, the beautiful campus, the friends Nicolas has made, football and so much more. So proud of my biggest guy - this is a piece of his life that will impact his future in many ways - excited for him and to see what God has in store : )
I'm so grateful for technology! It makes the world smaller & faster... I'm thankful for my laptop - I couldn't do my business without it. I'm thankful for my iphone - not sure how I ever lived without it!!! LOL!
