"Act as If" Principle - Day 56 This Is Your Year

Begin to act now as you will act when you reach your goal.

Example: If you were already a millionaire, how would you walk, talk, shake hands, or enter a room? Visualize yourself in the car you will drive, the house you will live in, the vacations you will take, and how much you will give to your church and causes important to you.

If you were already an amazing spouse, how would you talk, listen and behave?

If you were already your ideal weight, how would you walk, hold your shoulders, dress, groom, and present yourself?

Behave like you have already achieved what you want now and you will certainly become it! The only thing that separates the act from the reality is a few more planetary spins...

Do you feel over-worked, over-scheduled and over-whelmed? Sometimes we feel like we are doing more than ever - yet we are dissatisfied with the results we get out of life! In this world of instant and constant communication 24/7 - I can't help but wonder if technology has really made our lives any simpler!!! Is there a way to lead a balanced lifestyle? Can we balance all areas of life - our physical health along with our emotional development and happiness, pursue our work and financial success and maintian satisfying relationships with the people in our lives, as well as, enjoy our spiritual growth and keep our commitments to make a contribution to the world! WOW - that's alot and we still have to do the laundry! LOL!

I am so excited to have the honor of speaking at the Key Bank in Naples Key4Women Breakfast Lessons... Next week, Thursday, August 23 at 7:30-9:30am Trisha Hare, VP Key Bank, asked me to speak and share some tips on creating balance in our lives. RSVP 239-659-8602

What is a balanced life for you, today? For many doing what is important and meaningful to you and your family gives you a sense of harmony and peace. For other's  it's pursuing the goals and dreams that will bring you satisfaction and joy. Can you really have it all? The answer is YES - and I will show you how!!!

Seed Thoughts entry for Wordless Wednesday

We are what we think.  All that we are arises with our thoughts.  With our thoughts, we make the world.
- Buddha

Just as you plant a seed in the soil, it must surely produce a plant of like proportion to the seed that was planted.  If you were planting orange seeds, you certainly couldn't expect to produce a big beautiful oak tree.  If  you plant orange seeds, you will get an orange tree.

We all know this simple universal principle.  Even a young child understands this.  So why would it be any different with our thoughts?

By developing an understanding of this simple principle - by becoming conscious of the consistent thoughts we choose to think - we can then go to work on restructuring and implementing the power of thoughts.  More specifically, you can go to work on your thoughts to begin to create your life based on your newly found knowledge and begin producing desired results. Wordless Wednesday : Limited Beliefs

It's been amazing watching the summer Olympics on TV.  All the athletes that have qualified to be in the Olympics have at one point in their lives endured a limited belief but pressed through it to achieve the ability to compete in the Olympics.

There is nothing either good or bad except that thinking makes it so. - Shakespeare

Our beliefs or mindsets limit or expand our world.  Beliefs have power over us because we treat them as though they're true.  Beliefs influence what you attempt or choose not to attempt in life.  They determine what you pay attention to, how you react to difficult situations, and ultimately your attitude.  Success and failure begin and end in what the mind believes is possible.  (excerpt from This is Your Year Book pg 46)

WHY the If & How Shows UP!

Wrapping up my series of explaining my desire & goal in life to do What I want to do, When & Where I want to do it and with Whom I will do "it" , brings me to - I wish to only do something IF  & HOW I want to do it!!! LOL! I'm sure my family can attest that I have been like "that" my entire life!!!

OK - Being a Type A, Controller Personality Type, Go-Getter, Task Oriented, Risk-Taking and I'll throw in fun-loving just to balance myself out - strong woman does have it's advantages and disadvantages!!! When making a decisions to "do" something - business or personal - I will usually go through  a quick evaluation...

If I see some benefit for myself and my family  and it is in line with my goals & dreams then I contemplate:

What is the worst that can happen if I say yes to this opportunity?
What is the best possible outcome?
What is most likely going to happen if I take this on?

If I will survive the worst case scenario and the most likely answer will be a positive situation, then I go for it!!!

I have a WHY for my life that is so BIG that I rarely consider the HOW - it always shows up!!!
