When we are interacting with people, whether in a social setting or business setting, if you can quickly get a feel for the person's personality/behavior style you will then be better equipped to speak their "language". People connect with their own style. So, if you are a Controller/Driver and are chatting with someone you suspect is a Supporter/Amiable, you can slow down, smile, and chit chat about their family and make a connection very quickly!
People want to do business with and interact with people they like respect, and trust. People tent to trust people who are like-minded and to whom they feel connected. It is in our appearance and our communication where we make our first impression and connections.
