We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
Just as you plant a seed in the soil, it must surely produce a plant of like proportion to the seed that was planted. If you were planting orange seeds, you certainly couldn't expect to produce a big beautiful oak tree. If you plant orange seeds, you will get an orange tree.
We all know this simple universal principle. Even a young child understands this. So why would it be any different with our thoughts?
By developing an understanding of this simple principle - by becoming conscious of the consistent thoughts we choose to think - we can then go to work on restructuring and implementing the power of thoughts. More specifically, you can go to work on your thoughts to begin to create your life based on your newly found knowledge and begin producing desired results. It's been amazing watching the summer Olympics on TV. All the athletes that have qualified to be in the Olympics have at one point in their lives endured a limited belief but pressed through it to achieve the ability to compete in the Olympics.
There is nothing either good or bad except that thinking makes it so. - Shakespeare
Our beliefs or mindsets limit or expand our world. Beliefs have power over us because we treat them as though they're true. Beliefs influence what you attempt or choose not to attempt in life. They determine what you pay attention to, how you react to difficult situations, and ultimately your attitude. Success and failure begin and end in what the mind believes is possible. Everybody has a story. Mine is one of birth, being born again, then given a second chance at truly living my dream life.
I was born and raised in a very small town in Indiana, the eldest of four girls. My parents did the best they could to give us roots and wings; I know there certainly was not a lot of loot for things! I spent most of my childhood on my grandparent’s farm, not much to do (outside of gardening & chores) so I spent many hours reading and day-dreaming of the day I would be free to explore and travel the world!!!
My family wasn’t much on encouraging a dreamer. Reality was I needed to study and get good grades so I could get a job to work hard to pay the bills, etc. But I always had this feeling and desire to accomplish something really great with my life. I didn’t know exactly what it was that I was going to do, as a matter of fact, I was envious of people who seemed to “just know” that they wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, accountant, etc. Looking back, I can now see that God was guiding me towards His plan for me all along.
